Which 17x8 and 17x10 wheels fit?
I am looking for a used/new set of wheels (track use only) for my '86 930. A call to Tire Rack alerted me to the fact they don't have ANY wheels in the 17x10 size that fit my car.
With your collective experience, which wheels will fit (no spacers or lug adapters)? What is the correct lug pattern (mm?) and offset?

I don't know but I think you have lots of choices in a turbo car. Contact Wheel Enhancement from an ad in PANO they should be able to help.

You may be able to find some old Ruf wheels, mine fit with no spacers or modifications. Unfortunately they are not the lightest wheels in the world and they are not the best wheel for your intended purpose. I am trying to decide what I want to do with mine, I am seriously considering having some 17" Kenesis (Cup style) wheels made or copying Jack and BBII and getting 17"s made from lindsey racing. One of the main reasons I am considering this is because the Ruf's fill out the wheel well nicely but could be another 2-3" wider towards the inside of the car. If I was starting from scratch, I would just have some custom wheels made for my car, but of course that is not cheap.
Best of luck.

Jack suggested I contact Lindsey for some custom wheels. I am trying to keep my costs down (attempting to keep the wife happy), but I will give them a call anyway.

The most common fitments are from Kinesis and Fikse. They are not cheap though.
Either can provide some nice light, strong wheels that will fit properly. Since you are looking for track wheels stay away from cast wheels. 18s provide sligthtly better fitment options than 17s especially for track oriented use.
