1975 Front torsian bars position
i removed the torsion bars and am reinstalling as they look fine.
they are marked "R" and "L". does this mark go towards the front or towards the back on the respective side? seems like that can be installed in either way. thanks

Which way was it when you pulled them out?
![]() Good thread here: questions on indexing front torsion bars No definitive answer there but if it were me I'd put the "L" and "R" on the cap side, not the A-arm side. Unfortunately, the bar twists in opposite directions depending on how it's loaded so it does matter.

They are installed with the L and R towards the rear of the car.
But it actually only matters the the L bar goes on the drivers side and the R bar on the passengers side. They will twist in the same direction whether it’s front or back loaded. Right side twists CCW and left twists CW
