69-73 bumper mount location help

Hello in the process of restoring my 70 hotrod. The car has the fender mounted oil cooler.

Does anyone else have an F body with a fender mounted oil cooler with a custom bracket for the bumper to mount onto?

I need suggestions on mounting the bumper around the oil cooler would be appreciated— we removed the passenger side battery box to make space for the oil lines.

If it is fender mounted, it does not interfere with the bumper. Here is a shot of my trombone cooler in my 1973 with the battery box intact. I could put a factory finned cooler there if I wanted.

I bent some aluminum two inch flat stock into an "L" shape. Mounted to the nose with rubber mounts and then attached to the cooler, again with rubber cushions. Ooopsie, that was for a nose mounted cooler.

Elephant Racing should be able to provide a mount provided it's a Carrera style cooler.

Thank you everyone for your replies,

I’m thinking about using a similar method for the bumper as you did for your cooler with flat metal bent into the right shape.
