Ignition Switch Bolts

Getting ready to replace the contacts on my ignition switch.

The two hex head screws make me think the switch has been replaced before. The other two look like the backside of a pop rivet, and one has a nut threaded down over it.

Do these get drilled out, or?

Is there any downside to replacing all the fasteners with standard socket head screws?

Drill them out. Only downside to replace with bolts is easier access for criminals.

Not if you install my 911-Lockshield™.After you can just use regular allen head screws no rivets necessary........plus your 911 will be protected against potential thief`s slide-hammer for removing the ignition tumbler.............

Harpo ..as i have mentioned these will do nada...if anybody wants to do some harm they will just use slide hammer and pull the tumbler so any rivets or anything else will be still there but the ignition worthless

Ivan

look, this is how it works.....the thief broke the slide hammer tip

My only question about the protective covers, is how the heck do you get them off again? The ones I've used had a breakoff bolt to lock it in place.
