hydraulic clutch conversions

Greetings everyone. My wife has a 1982 911 SC Targa. she is a slight build person and has trouble with the pressure required to depress the clutch. If I cant fix this the car goes on the block. I have been looking at hydraulic conversions. Are these conversions to lighten the pressure required at the pedal or are there other reasons to go the hydraulic route?

Possibility that the omega spring is missing or maladjusted. The clutch cable needs to be almost pretensioned and the omega spring needs to work in synch with the clutch pressure required.

I have a G50 with a hydraulic clutch and wouldn't say it's any lighter than either of my 915 equipped cars.

Old clutch assemblies can be stiff. The thinner the disc, the harder the pedal effort. Old cables get a drag when the internal sleeve in the sheath breaks and moves with the cable motion.

I converted my 915 to a CMS hydraulic slave setup using the recommended master cylinder size and is just as hard to push as with the cable setup. Maybe even a bit harder.....
