Auxiliary Headlight Switch
Hey everyone!
I have a 1980 911SC with a bad headlight switch. I can't get my headlights to turn on. Before I have time to get it over to the shop, is it possible to wire a separate rocker/toggle switch? Is it as easy as pulling two wires off the current switch and running them into an aux switch? Thanks a million! |

i would not just get to a qualified shop with it if you are not familiar..there is a lot of current going to the headlights..
When you pull do you have a gauges light on? Check for under the dash ,under ignition switch if by accident your plug there is not unplugged Ivan

Yes, rheostat works and gauges light up. It was an intermitent problem that got progressively worse. Before completely failing, I could wiggle the pull-knob and find an area of contact where the lights would come on.
