Dash Replacement Problem....
Well I took off the old dashpad and have the new in about 80%. The problem I'm having is the screw holes don't line up corrently. All the studs went in no problem and I hand tightened them but the screws at the bottom where the windshield goes don't line up.
Should I drill new holes and screw it down or just leave it like that and install the windshield? Wait for your responses!!!:D |
Did you purchase the dash pad new? When I purchased my dash pad it didn't have any of the holes drilled for the front screws by the windshield. I had to locate the hole under the flap and simply put the screw through the vinyl.

Turboruf those are the screws that i'm talking about, but i took care of it i just drilled new holes. becuase the dash already had holes in it so i just took a small bit and made new holes using the dash holes as a guide and ta da perfect fit. thanks for your help.

Did you replace a leather dash pad? I have an 81sc with leather.
|
Yeah I replaced the old leather dash with a new one. I got a good deal on the dash $245 shipped. I'll post pictures later showing the before and after there's a huge difference. :D

You replaced it with a leather dash pad?
|
ok where do you get a dash for 245?
|
Yes. I have the same question as redducati750. Where did
you get that Leather Dash for 245? |
Let me know as well....
|
I got the dash from a very good friend of mine. He was selling it for $400 but gave it to me for $245 included shipping. I jumped all over it. But it does have 1 or 2 minor things wrong with it but for $245 I can live with it. I'll post pic of it later.
