911 iPhone 12 Pro mount

OK, so I upgraded my phone before my car...

I have the new iPhone 12 Pro and want to buy/create the best mount I can.

I have checked out the Rennline clock mount and that is an option, but they said I will still need a steel plate with the MagSafe case.

Any other great ideas?

I am guessing that I am not the only one trying to figure this out.

If you have ideas or solutions please chime in. Pictures are always helpful.

I used this on the back of my ultra thin case and it still allows wireless charging.

That’s a great solution .
One at each end would allow two “clip-on” magnet things to hold the phone in landscape .

As an aside , it’s better to think of the future when planning these things .
When my 964 went for paint I bought a device to turn my iPhone 5 into wireless charging and the phone fitted perfectly in the rear console bin .
By the time I got the car back from paint I was on an iPhone X that will not fit in the bin .
By the time I’ve got it back on the road I’ll probobly be on an iPhone 20 , and god only knows where it will fit

I used the Scosche MagicGrip Swing-Arm Dash Mount

I prefer the Rennline mount. The location is ideal for navigation and music control.

I use these in my trucks and they allow any kind of phone mount. (wireless charging etc) I just use a huge Scosche Magnet mount.

Hi. I found an easy fix for this. shopmoment.com has a Wall Mount disc that is magsafe compatible. Remove the mag disc from the Rennline mount, use an M3-.50 x 10 screw and it mounts cleanly. One of the pics shows the original disc on the new disc.

Thank you, just got my wife a Moment case for her new phone and of course it still doesn't stick to her Rennline mounts. I used an Apple charger in this mount but the white stands out so we'll put it in her daily driver white Cayenne. I think the Moment option will look a little better in her 997.
