Engine rebuilding in NJ

Can anyone recommend a good shop in central NJ that can rebuild an '87 Carrera engine (broken head studs)? I normally go to Bodymotion for repairs, but they are extremely busy prepping racecars and don't know when they can get to me.

Thank you.

You might want to try Mike Bono down in Sewell (takes care of my car).

Might be overkill, but also in your general vicinity (near Delaware Water Gap) is Dawe’s Motorsports, here’s an example of some of their handiwork:

Guys, thank you all for your quick responses. I'm going to call one of the recommended shops that's right here in Monmouth County. I appreciate all of your suggestions.

An NJ shop to always keep in mind is Powertech in Rockaway, NJ (Morris County).
https://www.pwr-tech.com/

Porsche experts with LOTS of experience and expertise.

Not exactly next door if you are in Monmounth county, but you may find it very worthwhile to contact them.

Sent you a PM also. I wonder if they are similar tales?

Find a reputable guy, it's only two trips, one to drop off, and another to pick up. A few more hours is nothing in the grand scheme of things.

I'll second or third Peter Dawe. Also Keith at Powertech, he's done a few engines for me over the years.

If you are looking for a shop to drop off your car and henpeck it up all done, I am of no help. But if you can remove the engine and reinstall yourself, give Bruce Abbott a call. He is on this forum as Flat6pak all the time. He rebuilt my '87 3.2 and it runs great.
