Fuel line coupling - what is it & where to buy ?

Hi, please see attached picture this is the fuel return hose that connects to the fuel line that comes out of the tunnel behind the steering rack and connects to the fuel tank, be great to know what type of coupling it is and where to get a barbed version of it, my car is a 76 911 Coupe.

All parts diagrams that I have seen do not detail this part.

Any help much appreciated.

Cheers

Mark

The part isn't detailed because Porsche made it part of the entire fuel line (which is listed).
However you can check the folks at with www.batinc.net or with Len (Pelican username "Boxster GT") - he fabs fuel lines but I believe he also sells couplings/adapters.

Chances are good that you can take that hose to a hydraulic hose shop and he'll cut off the hose ferrule, replace the rubber hose, then crimp on the new ferrules, saving your old fittings.

If you want, you can cut the ferrule off yourself (the fitting is barbed on the hose end), replace the hose, and reattach it with a couple of screw type hose clamps.

Sorted thanks, looks like it's one of these:

M14 x 1.5 Metric Swivel Nut 90 Degree Fitting x 7mm - 8mm Hose Tail
Cohline Bent 90 Degree Elbow tube x Hose Fitting with Conical nipple according to DIN 3863 & Swivel Metric Nut.

Thanks to all
Mark.

I brought all of my old fuel lines to a local hydraulic shop, they removed the old fittings, cleaned and inspected them, then they crimped them all to new hoses. I spent a total of $35.

Also, a word of caution when having "local hydraulic shops" make up your lines....

Many do NOT have the correct crimps to properly assemble new hose on your original Metric fittings. They are too long and crush the hose at the "bump" (shown in the first photo on post #7 above) where the fitting is meant to retain the hose.

This results in premature failure of the hose......

The is what the proper crimp looks like....

The same goes for improperly crimped Oil Hose by "local hydraulic shops"......

I am happy to assist with any questions you may have.

Good to see you're still helping out the community Len , aren't you retired ???

You made some custom fuel hoses and other bits for me a few years back when i swapped a 3.6 in my car.
For anybody considering fuel line or other hose replacements, i highly recommend Len as his work is outstanding !

Thank you for the kind words, Phil.

I am enjoying my retirement and hopefully providing a small service to the Porsche community. It is a little thank you for the years of pleasure I have had with these wonderful cars.

For the OP or anyone else, here is the M14 Female Coupler used to assist in pulling the replacement Polyamide Tunnel Lines into the chassis....

It is included free of charge with the Tunnel lines I offer. I do have extras if someone has another need.

Please email me only, NO pm's.
