Are these the early 911 Rally lights everyone is looking for?

A friend of mine has this set of NOS Citreon lamps. I belive these are the ones that Porsche adapted for thier rally cars. Am I correct? If so, what is the going price for them? Thanks for any input.

Dave, sorry I haven't been able to return your call! But these do not look correct to me either. The bases look to be shaped differently. They do like like a nice vintage set of lights that would look great, if strict originality wasn't an issue though. Are these for your S - I thought you didn't like the hood mounted lights!!?? -- Curt

No dice. The ones Porsche used had a more round, bulbous shape, as opposed to the tapered, teardrop shape shown in your pics. Nice lights, though!

I bet they're worth a pretty penny to the right crowd.

I do believe those are Citroen lights...but they are for the 2CV, Deux Cheveaux (spelling?)...that kind of strange looking Citroen that looks more at home on a golf course (remember one being used in a Pink Panther movie, and Peter Sellers drove it into the swimming pool).

Anway....the Citroen application is for the DS19 and DS21 Palais models, as an option. Both Cibie and Marchal made the lights...though the only difference I can see is in the fluting of the lense (Marchal looks more interesting too me...).

I have tried the Citroen club...and have found that they are not anymore available there than here...and just as pricey.

Sorry, I don't have any pics available...but check RGruppe pics.

Thans guys. Curt, these are not the ones I am putting on my car. I would never have the heart to drill holes in my hood =)
