Is there a square bottom steering wheel that retains the classic Porsche look?

My knees are in the way on my 2nd gear downshift. I have a spacer already with a flat steering wheel. May have to go to a deeper dish, or somehow add an extension to my Rennshifter. Looking for ideas. Thanks

Maybe a MOD 07 or MOD 88?

They don't scream vintage, but function is more important in my opinion.

What about a JWest eccentric adapter? It would raise the steering wheel, but only about a half-inch.

If you're running a C231 hub you may consider swapping it out with a L231 (longer) version as well. Combined with an eccentric spacer, that might do the trick. I have all the parts but shipping wouldn't make sense I assume, since I'm European based.

Would Dallas Customs modify the rim of your wheel and then cover that? Worth a call. They do great work.

I have a flat Momo wheel, and I used a quick release steering hub to bring my wheel closer. It has the added advantage of a safety feature.

Some dude ran a red light 4 years ago and t-boned me, bent my 911 at the time into a pretzel. The quick release wheel gave me just enough room to get out.

A two fold benefit would be to lower the drivers seat.
A lower seat moves your eyes up, more room to get in and out , less interference to your legs ,
Lower center of gravity , lots of bang for the effort .
Ian

Also you can add an extension to the shifter .

Is 917 classic enough for you ;-)

Acquire a 917 wheel replica and install it upside down ;-)

Thanks for this tip Outlaw I didnt know there was a longer hub. I ordered this and if its not enough I'll add the eccentric spacer.
