911 pertronix c/d problem 1977

Can some one help me. When I turn over the engine it does not fire until I let the key go. I am sorry. The cdi unit is made by PERMATUNE .Thank you.

Check to see if voltage is sagging while your cranking. May need a new battery. Or ground wires need to be cleaned.

Save yourself some headache, Get rid of all things Pertronix . For 35 years I have been fighting them
Go back to points if you have to. Permatune is fine .
Look into the 123 distributors

Pertronix work fine. Check your wiring... and you're sure the CDI is OK and your timing/pertronix setup is good?

45 years in the biz of vintage racing and there is nothing worse than Pertronix
Just my opinion
Every one that I have ever come across has failed
They even admit that average life is less than 4000 miles , and racing ? no warranty at all.
