1976 2.7 911s MSD 8910
Boosted by recent success of getting the car running will I have decided to tackle the nonworking VDO tach:
MSD 6AL 6425 123 Tune USB distributor BitzEFI megasquirt ms1 The 6AL is triggered by the white wire, magnetic pickup not used. I have sketched how it is configured with question mark on how the VDO tach wire should be connected. ![]() |

I didn’t need a tach adapter for my ‘77, not sure if you need it either.

VDO tach doesn't work if connect to MSD grey. The 8910 doesn't seem to have helped either!

I just looked at my MSD box on the shelf and I have the blue wire cut and the grey wire was used for tach.
Are you sure your tach even works? I think you said that the PO didn’t have everything set up very well?

Quick note: if your Bitz is working off of the grey wire, your tach should too.
