Need some front ST flare measurements.

I have a set of ST flares to put on the blasphemy build, but I’m worried that the proportions are wrong on them. I know the ST flare had a larger opening to accommodate larger tires, but these measurements aren’t consistent with other people I know that have ST flares. If you have a set of original ST flares on your car, can I ask you to measure a couple of things for me please?

Currently, a stock front fender measures 650 mm if you were to continue the line from the front bumper to the leading edge of the flare.

My ST flare measures 710 mm.

The stock front fender measures 740 mm from the front corner of the flair, to the bottom “rocker area“ of the front fender.

My ST flare measures 800(!) mm for that opening.

If I align the corner of the flare with the stock fender, it makes the flat part of the panel awkwardly short.

I have dozens of photos of real ST flares on different cars, as well as measurements from other people and this look is not consistent with any of them. So, I’m wondering if I have to “section“ this flare when I install it just to make it work with the front fenders.

Something doesn't look right.

I can measure in the AM, just shoot me an email. I'm quicker to respond there if you still need measurements.

My guess is they have been "flattened". This would open up the lower wheel arch. Try to bend them back into shape by pulling inward from the two outer edges. This will slightly change the mating surface to the stock fender. There is a chance you will need to shrink the metal in the middle to really match the profile.

I thought of that, but it's too disparate of a measurement to explain it. It's significant.

Collecting any more references.

Where did those flares come from? If you put the flare in a kick stretcher ( edge you weld) you might be able to draw that arch in a little bit.

All four tacked, rear left finished! https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e00e617165.jpg

Michael, What rear fenders did you start off with? Early non flared or latter SC/Carrera?
TIA

They were ST flares from TRE Motorsports. (TREcup)

Nicely done. That twin turbo should move it right along. Could you post pics of the front flares as well? I’m about to embark on the same adventure.

I’m curious if you can post what your findings were for other original ST we are opening sizes for the front and the rear. I’m gonna be hanging my MCS shocks and wheels to mock up my fenders and tack them in place and will need this as well

Part of the challenge is that there is no “right” way for ST flares. There were at least 3 different flare (and probably more) variants. But I’m happy to measure whatever you need.

Nice job welding. Are you using Tig or Mig?
