911 Quarter Window Install
I need to install the passenger side rear quarter window in my 1988 Carrera. What is the proper sequence of the install?
Thanks in advance for your response to my question! |

From memory fairly straight foward. A bit of vaseline on the rubber lip, a cord wrapped 1 1/2 times around the rubber groove. Install from outside, pulling the lip inside. A rubber mallet is useful to help snug the outside rubber in place. Then fit the beading - again rubber mallet may help. It is a long time since I did one but I think that was the general process. I recall it wasn't too bad - except getting it oriented just right so it snugs in was important. It gets tight in the corners from memory. You have the inside trim already removed of course.

One thing I learned from doing this is to start the front edge first and work towards the rear "pointy end". I first tried inserting the rear end of the glass but could not get the rest to seat properly. Starting with the front edge made it a much easier job. Good luck!
