Porsche Crest New car finally here!

Started out early Saturday morning at our local airport, bording a flight to Stockholm.
The weather forcast didn't look too good, with rain all through the southern half of the country. Not the best of days to bring home a Cab ...

As I exit Terminal 4 at Arlanda airport, I immediately spot the car outside, and my first thought is "wow, that car looks mean".
The car drives beautifully, and the difference in feel and handling compared to my ex-1972 Targa is tremendeous

I spend 7 uneventful hours driving this thing south, through heavy rain and arrive home as the sun goes down - exhausted but happy - I finally have a Cabriolet in my garage

After a thorough washing, this is what she looks like!

Nice ride!!!!

You do not need a cab in Sweden. Send it inmediately to sunny Spain.

Very nice! I'm guessing you're not planning on doing as much work on this one as you did on the last!

Grattis Bo. Looks like a very nice one. Is it the 1986 (?) US model you mentioned earlier?

Wow! What a beauty! You really got yourself one there!
Color and body lines with that whale tale are perfect!

Bo,
Can you take another picture of the front end? I'd like to see the H4's with the chrome rings on the black car. And by the way, welcome to the Cab Club.

Nothing beats a "topless" Porsche!
Glad to see her home and you're happy.
She looks mean and angry......

Did you drive back to Goteborg from Stockholm? Sweeden is the place to have a cab 6 months of the year. Sun stays up till Midnight comes up again at 5 am. I love that country, even in the winter, they have great bars

Thanks for all of your input - yes, I am VERY pleased to own this car.
Yesterday was the first day with a temperature in the 70īs (sorry Paco, Sweden isn't that cold ), so I took her out for the first ride with the top down - AWSOME !
I don't regret going from Targa to Cab one second.

The car is solid black - a pain in the b**t to keep clean, but looks sweeet when it is.

This is going to be a driverīs car - just driving and keepiīn her clean , which is going to be nice for a change...

Mikkel - yes; this was the car I was looking at a few weeks ago.

Harlan - the car was bought by a swedish family working in the Bay area in the mid 90īs (which, by the way, was the same time that I was working on the East coast, in NC) - they ended up bringing the car with them back to Sweden.

Vance - nice ride!

JG - here's a front shot for you (best one I have right now)

Initially I was a bit unsure about the chrome rings, but they grow on you, and adds a bit of "color" to an otherwise all-black car. So I think I'll keep them this way, for now at least.
