Installing sun visors in a 1968 Porsche 912

Hi all. I am aiming to instal sun visors after the headliner was replaced but do not have the original screws or bolts that were used to hold them on. Any insight on what type of fastener was used? Thanks!

Yes. I recently installed visors on my car. The screws are 4.2 x 13 oval head. I got mine from McMaster.

The parts catalog from the Porsche web site is very helpful in identifying the right fasteners.

I had to hunt for the holes. I used a dental pick to find them. I found two holes pretty easily. One on each side. I couldn’t find the other two though. I realized I had shifted the visor one hole away from the mirror. The visors mount tight against the mirror. I found the video Mikes Restorations very helpful.
