OT - Race car is born

To those of you who followed. The car had it's first shake down on the race track at Roebling Road near Savannah, GA. last weekend. The car still has some suspension issues that will be dealt with next week and was running on rain tires. Came in 3rd in class both days. SCCA GT2.
Nothing like the sound of a Porsche race motor with headers and megaphones.
Sorry the picture is a little dark.

I watched you race at Roebling (I have the Blue FC) and your car did sound sweet! Wish I knew you were a Pelican... I would have said hello!
Are you planning on buying wider rear tires or using spacers?

Sean,
I'll be at Kershaw in a few weeks, then the National at Road Atlanta.
The rears have a 2 inch spacers with 345/35/15's on them.

It just looked like you have another 6" of space to use...
As long as I get the car going again I'll see you at Kershaw- I'm also planning on that race. Should be no big issue (I think I've narrowed it down to a bad ign switch) and I plan on a better showing!

Paul;
Congratulations! Would you care to share the spec's on your 911? BTW - The birth of a 911 race car is not "OT", it's what this BBS is all about. It's good to see someone else take their 911 to SCCA events. Somebody needs to show the way to all of those Z-car racers!

Awesome car! More pictures would be great.

I lightened your picture so I could see it better:

Great looking car. You need wider wheels or something, but it looks great! The IROC/RSR look is my favorite.

Looks good - but I see another 6 inches of wheel that can fit under those fenders.
