URO Cylinder Head Temp Sensor Suggestion
I've mostly been happy with occasional URO part I've used, but I recently purchased a Cylinder Head Temperature Sensor 930-606-915-00 and thought it could use a little improvement.
The OEM sensor has an undercut portion between the threaded nose and the hex shoulder, but the URO part does not have this feature. This means that the sensor gets tight by interference of the threads rather than bottoming correctly on the shoulder. This also boogers the threads and means that the sensor will not easily spin out of it's hole the next time you need to remove it. Pic is of the OEM unit showing the undercut: http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1620655014.jpg |

Don't know where you got that copper colored one, but the normal original units had no margin. Maybe that's the old style, single wire with a 13mm wrench size. New 2 wire ones are 14mm wrench size.

Yes this was a very old, possibly original, single wire, with 13mm hex...

^ Ah, we probably developed ours off the new style.
Did it come with a washer to allow it to be fully threaded into the hole? Washers are probably cheaper than an undercut machine step. Our 912/914 sensor 311 906 041A includes a washer. |
No washer in stock form.
