3.2 swap fuel lines

Hi,

to make the 3.2 swap in my 3.0 sc easy and looking original, I would like to install the 3.2 fuel lines in the engine bay.

Do these pipes fit to the 3.0 tunnel pipes?

Thx

André

They do not interchange, but I have an adapter for you that will make it work.

Len,

the tunnel lines on the 3.0 SC have a fitting with male M14x1.5 and a "male cone".

Your adaptot has on each side male ends?

What is the fitting on the 3.2 carrera line to connect the engine bay line to the tunnel line?

Thx

André

Andre-

The fitting above is a Male Euro Flare to M14 Male Cone adapter to the rear hardline of a 911SC..........

and allows a normal M14 fuel hose to connect to the Fuel Filter or point on the motor.

If you want a hose to connect directly from the Tunnel line to the Filter, I make replacement rear fuel hoses using this Female Euro Flare..........

The drawback is it does not swivel, so one must rotate the entire hose to connect to this M14 Male Euro Flare or "Bullet" fitting at the Tunnel.........

before routing it up and back to the filter. For details, please email me.

These are what my hoses look like when fitting a 3.2 in a early car........

The Braided Zinc hose is no longer available, but I do have it in E-85 braided SS.

Fuel lines swap

Hello, seven years later!

In my SC 3.2 swap process, I would need to figure out how to get a proper return fuel hose. I'm good for the one with high pressure to the filter.

What I would like to do is fit the 3.2 return (see pic for ref) line to the existing return line out of the tunel. Will this adaptator shown above (Male Euro Flare to M14 Male Cone adapter from Len) work for this application?

Thanks.

In other words (my english not beeing that good) I would like to replace my original SC return line (green color after tunel) by the 3.2 return hose/line (see pic above) using the adaptador that Len proposes.

Will that work?

Thanks.

Lots of fuel has passed through the filter over the past 7 years...

The adapter shown in post #2 is for the Inlet of the Fuel Filter, and allows a M14 Female hose fitting to be attached instead of the M14 Euro Flare fitting.

Pilgrim-

Porsche changed the Tunnel lines for the 1980 model year.....

The early (standard) M14 Male straight is on the Rt and the later (special) M14 Male Euro Flare on the Left.

For your return hose, at the Motor, a standard M14 Female straight is used.

Depending on the model year of your 911, if earlier than 1980 you will need another M14 Female straight at the Tunnel.

If 1980 or later you will need a special M14 Female Flare as in my photo #3 above.

If you email me I am happy to help with any questions.

I offer E-85 Rated Fuel Hose and a variety of custom fuel fittings to make that motor swap install "as factory".

I am retired, and now live in NH. The old "Autosport" email address no longer works.

Here's a SS 8mm double ferrule tube connector to adapt the existing steel fuel line to the steel 3.2 engine supply line (to accumulator). Source: Ebay.

This is one of Len's flex fuel supply line adapters to a factory 3.2 fuel line.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Sherwood, the bottom pic is exactly what I need. Sent an email to Len, waiting for his proposal.
