EVO photoshoot tomorrow
Well, this will be interesting. Not sure if anyone sees Evo mag in the USA but they just contacted me and want to do a group test using my '74 Euro Carrera 2.7, a Ferrari 308 GTB and a Lamborghini Urraco – sort of mid-70s affordable supercar deal. I know which I'll be enjoying driving most – my P-car! Strange situation for me being in front of the camera rather than behind it, and reading what someone writes about my car rather than me writing about their car!
I warned them the Carrera is no longer stock – factory-spec twin-pipe sport muffler, RS ducktail, 50-series Yokohama A008Rs and Bielstein RS sport seats – but they didn't seem to worry. Wonder if the 'Italian' guys have dared mess with their toys? I lay good odds they haven't. Oh, and the forecast is for rain – the Ferrari probably won't even start.... I'll let you know who 'won'. ![]()

Cool!
Unfortunately, by the time it is turned into an article, published, and sea freighted to NZ, it will be, oh, I dunno, December!!!! Never mind. You are so right about the Italians being unmodified - imagine even thinking of where to start? NOTHING would be available off the shelf... Do you have any new pictures of you car? Especially the new seats and ducktail?

Guess what? The Ferrari guy just pulled out! Photoshoot delayed another day until they locate another 308!
I'll get some up to date pics of car in the next day or two.

Keith, that's gotta be weird - having someone else test and drive your car when you're used to the opposite. I always thought the rainy, foggy England was a bit of a stereotype but lately every test I read in the UK mags seems to have driving rain: the RS issue of yours, a recent CAR, Practical Classics seems to only shoot on rainy days sometimes, and now this article for EVO. You guys should move your offices to CA and write from there! I regularly read EVO, so I'll keep an eye out when it reaches our shores.
