Monball / Koni Front install - Am I overthinking this?
My new Koni adjustable front shocks have this bumper and metal sleeve as part of the package.
![]() The metal sleeve is longer than the rubber bumper and I believe the same diameter as the bottom of the Rennline monoball piece in the following pic. ![]() Should the bumper and sleeve be omitted? Nothing about this in the Rennline directions. That would create metal to metal from the monoball to the dust cover. Is that the intent? Am I missing something?????

Yes, you're correct to omit. If you leave that rubber on there I would assume the shaft of the strut wouldn't make it above the top of the monoball to even thread on the nut. You'd have the same issue even with stock bushing up there instead of monoballs too. The dust shield will be sandwiched between the monoball and the larger diameter shaft under the dust shield.
