eastwood dot com sells a lot of those clamps and tools needed for this sorta work. they also have entry level mig and tig welders that are pretty decent for the prices.

Kudos for taking on a project like this... BUT. This is why I'm both interested and very afraid to tackle my own. Even on the video, you can clearly see where the bodywork was wavy where the flares were welded on, even though he spent a lot of time getting it to where he thought was perfect. The door gaps need a lot of help too...most of which are not fixable at this point without diving back into another paint job.

Nice work other then the lack of protection on the rear window. Glass, grinding and mig welding do not go together.

Painful to watch the cutting with the body saw. Also, looked like he was stripping the paint with a cutoff wheel. But, as stated above, kudos for digging in. We all have to start somewhere.

Big difference in what one will except when paying a small fortune to have others do the work or rolling up your sleeves and doing it yourself. I am in the process of the same thing on my 66. I know it won't be prefect, but when I say I restored it, I will mean "I" restored it. Writing a check is not restoration.
Big kudos to this guy. Joe D
