i am pretty sure that is the real thing!! Hamann has had the gull wing doors for the 3 series BMW for a while now.

The doors are actually hydraulic air brakes. Apparently they are more effective at high speeds than Porsche's ceramic brakes.

Those doors don't do anything for me. If you could convince me that they enhance performance or safety, I might like them better.

Actually it looks like a Scissor/Gullwing hybrid.
Doesn't seem very practical....you must get soaked when reaching so high to grab the door handle when it's raining.
