need to replace drivers side hp washer nozzle clip..

yeah looks like another easy job made unnecessarily difficult.

came to my car and found this , not sure if it was walk by vandalism , the clip just fell off or what .. but whatever..

needs a new retaining clip as far as i can tell .. but wait there's more .....

figure pop the turn signal housing out and pop it in right ? nope ....

the signal lense comes off , and you have about half an inch of room to work with .. between the housing and the underside of the bumper where it clips in ... remove the housing ? nope, they put the housing nuts on studs in from the back side .. grrrr...

i have the bumper ,lower dam and rubber spoiler .. so now i have to jack the car up ..
do that get underneath , no chance ... the washer tank has to come out, so have to take wheel off and remove evap tank and connections first. to get to one of the bolts.. then the strap that has its connection at the bottom .. where 40 years of corrosion and weather have sized that strap bolt...

remember , this was just a clip i had to replace....

so put everything back as i just cant get that band clamp undone ....

maybe i can work with that 1/2 inch gap lol ....

BTW the part number to that clip is 113-955-199.

hope i can find one locally , and also that its just the clip and, not the washer nozzle that is damaged.. that will be pricey..

just another simple job on this car

just did this. on an SC.
i undid the bumper, pulled it forward.
undoing the 2 fasteners at back of each bellow was the most difficult part of the task.
i bought a complete washer nozzle assembly. it wasn't very expensive - but mine looks a bit different, less tall?
my washer assembly had a screw on type retainer. still have an extra retainer, if yours is the same, you welcome to it .......

right ?? pull the front rubber strip bumper and bellows off to replace a clip , that's insane .. that's the other way I was going to go ...

Thanks for the offer but i have the sprayers you mention. I got them to upgrade to the more slimline design but it required longer hoses and i wasnt up to the task at the time .

Your system uses slim nozzles and the pump in the washer tank. Mine has a large exterior pump and the tall standing nozzles.

just imagine if they had used screws and captive hardware like the back ... yeah wed have to drill the screws out after a few years , but still.. a lot easier than this carry on.
