Is this blower HVAC related?
Stock 79' SC and there is some separation between the this fan motor and the housing. I'm a newbie and I'm not even sure what this part is. It looks like a fan and I'm not sure if it's related to the recent removal of the air pump during my first valve adjustment as the new owner. I'm assuming the abandoned electric leads went to the pump. I was afraid the valve adjust was beyond my skill, at least the first one so I'm not sure what this is. Can anyone comment please? Thanks!

Blower motor for heat to cabin. Blower motor should be connected to black tubing which runs down to the heat exchangers. Heat exchangers are metal wraps over the exhaust manifolds. If all tubing is connected properly you should have heat when you pull the two red handles located between the front seats. When the blower motor wires are connected the blower should force air to the cabin when either red handle is lifted
I do not believe this motor has any connection to the air pump

Thanks KL Targa, that makes sense. I was afraid it might be causing a vacuum leak and the stumble I get in lower RPM's when the engine is cold. I'm glad to hear it's heat related and I can take my time in getting to it. Thanks again.
