Connect CIBIE’s to high beam lights with fog light switch
Hi.
I have a 1978 US 911SC targa. I want to wire things up so that I can use my factory fog light switch to work with my Cibie’s instead of the fog lights. The factory setup, as it is today, works so the fog lights only lights up togheter with the low beam. However I want to change the wiring so the Cibie’s lights up only togheter with the high beam. So what I am after is which wire in the fuse box must be relocated from where it’s at now and to which new location. I know it is the wire that goes to number 86 on the relay, but it is not easy to find where it is connected on the fuse box. Thanks in advance for all help :) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
No one that has an idea?

Since your foglight are triggered by the low beam circuit/fuse, you'll need to identify the wire (on the bottom side of the fuse for your low beams) that triggers your foglights and switch it to the high beam fuse. Then, you'd simply need to relocate your fog light wires to power your (hood mounted?) cibies :)

Do you have a wiring diagram?
the power for the foglight relay comes from the low beam fuse S7/S8. Move the power relay wire to the high beam fuse. |
Thanks a lot folks [emoji2]
