Help in watkins glen..need a brake light switch for 964
Hi all, my buddy needs a brake light switch (the one mounted on the pedal cluster). We're at watkins glen and don't know where to get one locally. Can anyone help? I think a 993 switch will work as well

Your best bet is Ron Allison at Corning Imported Autos, at 27 West Pulteney St in Corning NY. 607 936 8736. Ron and Ed are German car experts, and always serviced my 911 until I moved south. Tell them Glenn sent you (silver 84 Carrera), and he says "hey"

We MacGuivered one on a friends 993 last weekend at Mont Tremblant ...He had no brake lights and it turned out that the plastic switch with the little plunger had melted some and wasn't making contact due to the melted plastic.
We took it apart and scraped the plastic innards with a small screwdriver and taped it back together and it got him through the weekend ... Cheers ! Phil
