clutch cable sheath stuck
I am having the devil of a time removing the outer sheath of the clutch cable on my '83 SC.Upon removal of the clevis and nut, a good pull on the transmission side resulted only in my pulling the inner cable out, the firewall end seems almost welded to the tube. It's strange, as there is no corrosion apparent, but this sucker refuses to budge. I have tried a SFH, and then a BFH in conjunction with a chisel, but no joy, Can't use heat due to the proximity to the gas lines. My next move will be trying a large needle nose vice grip. Any other suggestions?

I think a 10mm wrench should fit over the tunnel tube and can be used with a wood block to lever off the clutch cable housing. Otherwise, get the dremel out and split the metal collar so it can be removed.

Just went thru this last week. Similar to above but I used a set of needle nose vise grips just set slightly larger than the tunnel tube and a few wacks towards the rear did it. Use a little penetrant.

Just did this late last year. The channelocks did the trick.
