What to do with old suspension components?

Hi all,

Weird question here. I swapped out the bilstein HDs on my 911sc, and they have just been sitting in the garage. At some point I heard the stock struts have a Porsche part number on them and are worth saving. Is that true, or can I throw these things away?

My SC has the f26 package, so I believe it came from the factory with HDs.

Thanks!

I couldn't give mine away. Offered them for free in the classifieds to anyone who might want to get them refurbished by Bilstein and no takers. The strut housings on the other hand are what have value.

Do you mean only the front strut housings, or even the back?

I tried giving away the used front inserts and rear shocks (green Bilstein) from my '84 Carrera with no luck. They needed to be revalved. They are now in the parish landfill. I may have misunderstood your post though. Keep them if they're in good shape

Interesting thread. What do you all think about original tie rods after replacing with turbo tie rods?
