Help...the dreaded triangle?
Work commitments have kept me away from addressing this for a couple years. Thought an easy return tube fix but appears more siignificant. Any and all help is appreciated. Engine in/pull?http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1623371390.JPG

Keep the engine in, clean it up and find the leaks. Probably your tubes as you suspect.
Also check the oil cooler to make sure it’s tight. Another possibility is that it isn’t engine oil. It might be gear oil from the transmission, if the vent bolt on the top of the transmission isn’t oriented correctly it will blow out gear oil and end up on the bottom of the engine. |
Just went through this. Loose cylinder head bolts, oil drain tubes, rocker arm seals and a loose breather hose in the ToD all contributed to my drippy engine. My oil pressure switch, oil cooler seals, thermostat O ring and front and rear main seals were OK but I replaced them all anyway.
Currently cleaning and resealing the transmission. After reading snbush67 post I’ve got to check my transmission vent too! Good luck. |
Worst case, it is your cooler leaking. My story: https://forums.pelicanparts.com/porsche-911-technical-forum/1095055-failed-oil-cooler.html
