Well, no disappointments unless you're expecting restraint! I'm unclear on the provenance of the car - he mentions twice that it's built from a 1981 Euro, but never says a Turbo-look car (were they even available in '81) so I don't know if the flares are steel or fiberglass. Also, weren't the 10.5:1 pistons standard in Europe? And what, exactly, is the "world's largest Porsche show" where it won 2nd place in a concourse?

Nope again, stock 81 euro SC was 9.8:1

May be the Porsche Parade, but who knows.

He says " The history of the car is original wide body, 1981 Euro 911." but lists both 80 and 88 in the title. He also doesn't list the VIN, or show a photo of the engine.

On his geocities web page, he says he wants $38,900.00 for it.

I wish him good luck, he will need it.

I noticed the lack of engine photos (weird for a Porschephile, and he mentions a custom color scheme as well) and while I thought of the Porsche Parade, I simply can't imagine such an unoriginal car winning a concourse, especially at that level of competition.

Hey, it does have the very desirable brake cooling "ducks". Their wings sure must get tired!

Saw it at Hershey- it was unfortunately in my line of sight as I tried to enjoy the real Porsches (early ones) - and emitting some gawdawful boom boom bling bling distorted bass music.

VERY ANNOYING!!!

So instead of the annoying wimpy brake squeel (like a little girl) you get a much more masculine quack when you stomp the binders!!

As opposed to the cars you buy with the fake stick on third tail lights??

"...full Blistine suspension..."

'nuff said on this one...

"Cross-drilled Porsche rotors (painted red/Porsche logo yellow)"

Does painting the rotors help you stop faster or is it to make the brake ducks feel more at home?

"...custom floor board fabrication..."

read: rusted out floors replaced with stolen 'STOP' signs.

"custom glove box"

For that price the glove box better have a full bar (with cocktail waitress) in there.

and reading on you understand why the high price, you get a TRUCK TOO (and the truck has a stereo I think)...

"...custom glove box. The truck has (10+k). STEREO: Full fiberglass enclosure..."

See? A 10+k truck! Kewl!

"The engine has been built to specs."

OMG! A motor built to specs? Who's specs, Daffy Duck?

Thanks for the laughs!

Todd - You got me!!!! Laughing at that silly monitor again!!!!!

Soon as I read, "it comes with a truck too......" I broke out and I'm still laughing.

Great description on the engine: "it's 6 cylinders"

Rice interior - no thanks!
