Sunroof cable bracket - repairable?

I finally got to this item on my to-do list and found the cause for the inoperative sunroof. The passenger-side cable bracket is broken where it pivots and the cable is broken off as well. From what I understand, the originals were plastic and replacements are metal, and since the driver's side is metal I assume a PO did that side previously. Before I lay out $200+ on a replacement I thought I'd ask if this is repairable. It seems a shame to trash the entire assembly because of this broken part. Anyone know if that's possible?

No fix for the plastic one. Should be plenty of used metal ones around if you post a WTB on the 911 used parts forum.
