Early door handle compatability
 
Morning all:cool:

Can anyone tell me if the outside door controls of a 1967 912/911 will mount in a 1966 912/911 door without a major issue?I have a pair of finger trigger style with keys from the 67 and want to install them in the 66 which are of the thumb button depression style without keys.Thanks for any and all suggestionsSmileWavy

The finger trigger hardware you have is not from a '67- they still had the thumb button style outside latch until '69 or so. AFAIK, they are not interchangeable.

My '69 had the push button door handles and replaced with (I think) '70's on lever type handles. No modifications to install. Not sure about earlier models. BTW, I have the '69 handles if anyone wants to buy them.
