Recaro Seat Badges
Hi All,
Been a while - hope everyone is happy and healthy. I am finishing up a newer project and thought this group would have the answer. I am redoing some 70's era Recaros. I am having second thoughts on re-installing the metal badges on the back rest seating surface, as I am concerned about durability. Has anyone experienced faster wear/tearing over time from where the badge pins pierce the fabric? If it matters, the seating surface will be cloth - not leather. Thanks! Scott S

I have a pair of LXAs in my car that are old enough that they have the metal badges on the backrests. I've only had them in my car for a year and 5000 miles, but they've obviously been around for a good while and there is no sign of unusual wear at the badges. Not perhaps the mos useful datum, but it's something.
