1976 911S fuel hose replacement (non stock fuel pump and BitzEFI)
Hi
The car currently has a flexible rubber hose clipped under the car to connect the front mounted DW250 pump to the EFI, this is not great! The car was sat in the desert for a number of years so I don't trust the old line in the tunnel and looks like some of the old fittings have been cut off. The DW250 pump and Bitz fuel rails both use AN06 size (8mm / 5/16") so I plan to pull through the central tunnel a new braided line that is ethanol resistant and I can easily install AN06 fittings to either end: Unfortunately I don't really have the budget to buy Porsche OEM and start chopping them about. The outside diameter is 10.6mm diameter however I am not sure if this will snag or pull through ok. Fortunately the engine and trans will be out Thanks! |

Hi, apologies forgot to say I am in the UK and only looking for a DiY system so I can cut it to size and make it up on the car due to the non-standard pump and fuel rails.
The hose above and fittings should come in around £100 which would be ideal Thanks, Jack |

![]() ![]() Good day Jack. I often make up custom fuel hoses & lines for early model 911's, including ones with AN-6 fittings. By far the best Tunnel line combination is what you had originally; Polyamide lines the factory installs. This type of fuel line has proven to be practically bulletproof, and is still used in current models today. Email me and I will try to help. And, I ship worldwide by first class mail; not as costly as you might think. len.cummings at verizon.net ![]() Last edited by BoxsterGT; 06-21-2021 at 05:31 AM.. |
