Porsche Crest can a 74 911 be back dated to 73 looks

I have a 74s targa which is almost worthless other than the engine tranny suspension and underbody. as I was looking to replace outer body panels I came across a 69 912 which was opposite to my car. Underbody was so bad welding wasn't really a practical option. I bought the car for $500 believe it or not and it was complete. I cut the roof clip off in one piece with the quarters and I'm getting ready to weld. I was thinking of a 74 rsr knockoff, but I really like the 69-73 911s the best as far as appearance goes. I have most of the parts from the 912 donor. The only part I have not worked out is the front trunk lid. I could figure it out, but the cars are an hour+ apart from each other and I was hoping someone here would know how to get the right fit. IF this can be pulled off, Jesse James might want to get out of the fabrication business because a new king will be crowned. Please help.
thanks,
Brian
