I'll sell my Fuchs 6's and 7's for this price any day. Any takers?

Hey there,

Wow, look at this price for 16 x 6's and 7's!! Anyone want to trade the above sizes for 7's and 8's/9's?

I sold my 6's and 7 by 16" at Hershey the other week for $700 and was pleased with that. They had decent tires on them also. We also sold a few sets to the WheelEnhancement guy who was buying them at $125/wheel for 6". He must of had a few dozen to send back to CA. One funny note is that one of the rims we were selling had some severe curb rash that needed extensive refinishing to remove and left some undulations in the rim. This was only cosmetic though. The WheelEnhancement guy caught this with his tire spinner that he rolled around. So he left this one with us. He was going around to all seller of fuchs and buying 2/3 or 3/4 and leaving the bent ones with the seller. We later sold our rim to a guy who was following the WE buyer and making a set of rims out of all the single that were left over. I didn't have the heart to tell him he is now the owner of 4 bent rims!

Wayne,
My 401K is in such bad shape I was forced to sell the "4" and the "1".

Is this the future of the Fuchs market?

I got a set of 7/8s that are straight, but could use refinishing (great for the track though) for $1100 about a year ago on eBay. They even came with a set of Kumho track tires with a couple of events left in them.

I thought I did okay on the deal. Maybe I did better than I thought.

If someone is going to pay you 1200 bucks for those, you oughta do what we say in the options business "hit the bid, sid" At that price i have to see how many and what size are left in my garage. Ebayers dont always come up with the dough in the end. THats a great price, hope you get it.

Hello,

I would trust no bidding when the high bidder has "zero" history. And $1200 is awful high. I just sold my 6 and 7's with tires. They only had 45k on them and no road rash. Less then $400 dollars.

7 and 8's are more desirable and I can understand the higher price. SHILL ALERT... SHILL ALERT!

I hope eBay doesnt hit the seller to much with commission fees.

If I told you what I paid for 16" 7's & 8's last week here in BC, Canada, you would not believe it; it was like winning the lottery. What a find, I am still smiling.

I wasn't able to scare up that much for my set of 7's and 9's!

I'll betcha a dollar the sale to the first guy 'falls through' and they're offered to the next bidder for that amount. Looks like classic shilling to me.

It look kind of funny. The bid jumps from 560 to1200 in one jump. Even with proxy bidding I think all the intermediate bids show up. I could be wrong, though. Michael

Hi,

By the way, these are NOT my wheels. Just came across them on ebay. I'm looking for 9's.........anyone got a pair I could get without paying through the nose? Don't need to be the cleanest, just strait.

regards,

At Hershey, I spoke to the WheelEnhancement rep who was buying up Fuchs. They still sell brand new 9 by 16 fuchs for something around $650/wheel. Once the company that makes these get enough orders, they produce a batch of a couple of thousand. They do not make up other sizes to the best of my knowledge which is why he was buying up the 6's and 7's. The point of the matter is never pay more then $650/wheel for used when you can get new for that price.

I dont know what rims cost... but i have the receipt for the 7s and 9s that came on my 86 from the PO:

$750 a piece.

Holy cow. With 2 tires, this guy paid almost $3500 for 4 rims and two tires.

$650 Brand New Fuchs?

It may be late and I may have had a drink but if there is a company "making" replica 9" Fuchs, then they are not real Fuchs and therefore are really only worth a fraction of the original Fuchs. Authentic 9" Fuchs will command top dollar if they are in good shape and are highly prized acquisitions. You didn't buy a replica Porsche( I hope) so why would you consider buying a replica wheel? Oh, I do have real 9" Fuchs on my SC so I may be a bit biased.

Keep the wheels turning forward.
