PPI Shop Del - Mar / San Diego area
Since I located this board it's been very helpful, everyones been great. I need to find a PPI shop in Del Mar California. If anyone knows a good wrench there please let me know. Thanks very much....

I don't know of any shop in the Del Mar, but I would recommend Black Forest or Deiters in that order for decent independent shops in the San Diego area. Black Forest is on Engineer Rd. & Deiters is on Market just west of I-5. Good luck.

There is a VW shop in Del Mar on Carmel Valley Road, but I don't know of any Porsche shops. In North County, there is Joe Vampola (independent) in Vista and Hoehn Porsche (dealer) in Carlsbad.

I'd avoid AJ USA. I believe there is a place in Escondido (Extreme?) that is supposed to be good.

For a little drive north, try Hergesheimers (sp?)
they did the PPI for the 993. Very nice people to deal with! Chris |

I used Black Forest last year. THey did a great job. I got there after work around their closing time and Black Forest hung out to discuss the PPI. About 1.5 hours later, I had a good understanding of the car and the items they found.

All German Auto in Escondido does great work and does PPI's. Phone is 760-743-4626, I have no affiliation with them, just good guys to deal with and very good with our cars.

I bought a car in the Del Mar area a few years ago and had the PPI done long distance at Pioneers Centers Porsche. They did a great job and kept me well informed and documented everything and made recommendations.
