Taormina Racing Billet Oil Filter Console question

Is anyone familiar with or who have used the Taormina Racing Billet Oil Filter Console – Oil Cooler Delete? I'm looking for feedback on the product prior to making a purchase. Thank you in advance!

I wish it integrated the engine "tin" cover like the 965 Turbo part.

I’m skeptical of products that use the term “racing” in their title.

What qualifies it as a racing improvement?

I am skeptical of people that don’t think to research before that make a statement.

The name of the company is “Taormina Racing” and the name of the item is “Billet Oil Filter Console“.

It just replaces the engine mount cooler. I wanted another filter and was just going to run a big front cooler anyway and this was a perfect solution

I trust it is a good product. Reviews of it that I have seen have been positive.

I believe it’s angled a little differently than the 965 version. How long of a filter can fit on the Taormina filter stand? Would a System 1 filter fit?

It is, the 965 version is tilted fore and aft in the car, whereas mine is tilted toward the driver side (US).

It can fit a good size filter but I recommed using the 993 filter because the filter also contains a bypass which is necessary for this console.

Are you guys running two oil filters or are you blocking off the oil filter on the oil tank? I wish it was available in black.

Thanks

David

That's one beautifully sculpted part.

The simplicity is quite appealing if the cooler it replaces isn't needed.

The 965 used the 94410720103 (Mahle OC-75) which is quite a bit longer than the 99310720305 (Mahle OC-229) filter the 993 uses.

My preference is that no one deals with Taormina Racing until Adam at least commits to a plan to reimburse all the refundable deposits he took for his new 3.6 cases.

My preference is that you not tell me or anyone else who we can or cannot deal with.

I have no plans as of now to buy any Taormina Racing products. But that has nothing to do with your preferences.....

The new case not quite done

You know his oil filter design has nothing to do with his new venture of a replacement case.I have his filter and it is very well done. This noise about a boycott of his products is just sad.I am sure he did not want to be at this point where this case is not ready for you.He is a sharp guy who has a snafu right now.Rather than run your mouth why not reach out to Rothsport for some feedback results.Gotta love these guys with typewriter BALLZ.Ciao

filter

You need a different front spoiler to accomodate a large center mount cooler when you delete the engine oil cooler.

I have a carrera front fender cooler (wheel-well) with a fan. my guess is that wont suffice the additional cooling needed by converting ?

Why is the engine mounted oil cooler " almost useless"? I'd prefer more cooling than more filters. Not to argue with anyone just curious.
