CO adjustment on 3.2 Carrera.
I do not have a CO tester but I wanted to put the adjustment at a base adjustment until I can get to a shop. I turned the bottom mixture screw clockwise hoping it would come to a stop but I can’t seem to get there. If I do get to the stop I was told about 3 1/2 turns counter clockwise should get me to a base setting. Does that sound about right? Thank you. Nick

Make sure your turning it clockwise as if you were looking from the bottom. The screw should stop, if not there is an issue. I would pull the AFM then and see what is going on. Also for me I decided to get an unmolested AFM from a 996 as I knew mine was cracked open and the spring adjusted for some reason. After putting in new fuel lines, injectors, gaskets, fixing vacuum leaks, I wanted a baseline AFM.

There is a procedure written up somewhere here that discusses how to set up a base setting without the use of an O2 analyzer. Unable to find it via my phone, unfortunately.

You can use the voltage off the O2 sensor as a rough estimate.
I believe its about .9 volts but would have to check that. |
