pertronix and timing

i posted a week or so ago about putting in a pertronix and setting up the timing on 1975 2.7 s motor. the vacuum pump is no on the car. i set the timing at 5 atdc at 950 rpm. this is what is shown on the sticker inside the car. is this correct? or should i set it for the 35 btdc at 6000 rpm instead? which is best?
it seems to run hotter than it did before i changed the to pertronix and moved the distributor. but it runs really nice with great torque and zips to redline without any hesitation or pinging.

do the max at 33 and see how it feels.. I try to be a little conservative for the summer because of summer heat and lousy gas. your mix should be checked after retiming, I like it on the high side........Ron
