I am interested in removing the rear seats and carpeting and replacing with the thin Ozite style carpet only found in either the RS or the Club Sport model. Can this be done without destroying what I have and where can I locate the replacement carpeting? Am I insane for doing this, any idea how many lbs I can save?

I just did the RS carpet kit. Its a piece of cake. I got mine from TRE: http://www.tremotorsports.com
Pelican carries them aswell. I comes with everything to delet the back seat. I cost about 300 bucks. The only down fall is that its louder in the cab. But hey, you gotta love the noise! |

Thanks, Any idea on weight savings? As for the interior volume...well that is my stereo. I live for the sound (noise).

He is on this BBS. I will let him know a fellow 911 owner wants to go on a weightloss program. He is the king of lightweight.

I believe the perforated grill came with cars that had the optional gas heater in the smuggler's box. The heater sucked air down the tunnel from the shift coupler grill. I have a piece of black painted cardboard underneath it now to keep debris out.
