couple pics of my car with new glasses!

Installed these myself a couple weeks ago. I know its nothing special, but for a rookie, it was kind of nice to have a job done myself that actually went smoothly!

The car had H4's ( US spec.) in it when I purchased the car. I do not believe I have the relay but have not had any problems so far. Perhaps it is because of the 55w bulbs I am using.

and another:

New windshield seals front and rear are next. Then adjusting the rear to proper height!

Thanks to this board for helping me yet again.

they are h4's . They have the small bulbs that are parking lights but I have not got a plug inside by buckets to hook them up.

Raynald. Those are all 16 x 6's. My last pair of 16 x 7's are oon the dreaded EBAY :

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33748&item=2413888154

If you or anyone on Pelican buys them, I'll throw in a pair of caps!

Does anyone think these SC wheels look cheesy on my longhood??

Personally.....I prefer the look of 15's on the early cars. Perhaps if you had the paddles polished to resemble the earlier wheels. The lights are a big in mprovement over the early ones.

Poorsha, did'nt you email me about a nice set of 15's that you may have available? I am always on the lookout.

I also have an early set but they need to be refinished. These 16's are in much nicer shape and have a nice set of s-02's on them.

Reg. I still have the wheels and I am sorry about not getting back to you. I was out last Saturday and left my digi cam in a friends vehicle. He lives way across town. I will see him this up coming week. Feel lost without the darn thing. Amazing how often I have reached out and it's not there (camera, not the misses). Will definately send pics as soon as I can. poorsha@shaw.ca

Use relays...cuts amp draw by a factor of maybe 100 through the little steering column switch...you won't have problems now...but you will later...even with 55W bulbs.

--Wil Ferch

PS--the area looks familiar..I looked at a racing 944 in St. Catherines..is this the same place?

Yes, I am a couple hours from Buffalo. I have purchased a set of wheels from the fellow who is selling the Rothmans car.

Thanks for the tips.

Hi,

What size tires are you running on the 16X6's?
I have an early car, I'm debating between 15X6 and 16X6s.
I'm leaning towards 16X6 to run lower profile tires, but I 'm concerned that they might look "too big." On your car they look fine from the picture. I do like the "polished paddles" on the early cars.

Chuck

I like the colour too Mark, but she was originally Tangerine! Most everything else is original to the car ....hmmmm check that , not the wheels, radio , colour , steering wheel...........

The tires are 205 55 16's which make the speedo almost accurate! No rubbing anywhere which is nice, allthough I would like 7's all around.

The shop is my actually a freinds and is heated with plenty of space. He even lets me store the car there through the winter.

Have a great weekend!!

Reg
