ISO Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 Firmware -- does anybody still have a copy?

Just received my Blaupunkt Bremen SQR 46 and realized that Blaupunkt appears to have deleted all links to info/support on this (apparently now discontinued) radio. Does anybody still have a copy of the latest (or recent) firmware update still on their computer?

PM me if you do -- happy to share with group online if you do.

Thanks!

d

Following. Interested in copy for my newly installed radio.

Happy to buy a USB drive for whoever has it and then share with others who need the updates.

Thank you!

I would also be interested in the firmware update for the unit I received yesterday.

Thanks.

I have a copy I kept. It is just a 175 KB file and has the instructions with it.

These are the instructions:

Please proceed update with the utmost care, do not switch any consumers in vehicle on / off, do not start the engine etc. during the update!
Please read the instructions COMPLETELY before installing the update!
Do not install the update if the device is working properly!
Only install the update if it can fix an error and if the device currently has an older version (lower version number), otherwise the update can destroy the device!
Before the update, please check which software is installed on the device- you will find the version information in the menu under VARIOUS / MISCELLANEOUS. Make a note of this version number.
Please check if there is a letter "X" at the end of the version number which starts with "P" - if this is the case, please use the update file with the X, otherwise the update file without the X. Don't copy both files together to your USB key!
If you use the wrong software, DAB will no longer work, in this case please perform the update again with the correct file!
Copy the attached update file to a formatted, empty USB key (FAT, FAT16, FAT32).
Connect the USB key to the radio and turn it on. Confirm the message UPDATE? by pressing the right knob. The update will start now, it will count to 100 and stops there for a moment. After finishing the update the device will shut down, now you can surely remove the USB key.
After successful update please set device back to default settings (MENU -> VARIOUS -> NORMSET).
IMPORTANT NOTE:
If the unit turns off immediately after confirming the update: Please be patient and wait for 5 minutes (watch the LED on your USB key, when it shuts off, the unit can be turned on again). This may happen in rare cases but unit has been updated correctly anyway!
Remove the USB stick only if the unit can be switched on again (but do not start the update again!).

I put it on my One Drive. Please let me know if you can download it. I will leave it up there for a while.

Just click the bold file name LU5350-S62(P1420052).zip near the top to get all the files as a zip file.

For me it was a super easy update.

I put the ONE file on my USB, turned on the car, saw the update question, told it to update and it did it in a minute. I did use a USB3 thumb drive.

Thank you Glen! Very much appreciate you sharing this.

Download successful.
I'll try the update as soon as I get the radio installed.

Thank you Glen!

The zip file on my one drive site has a Readme.RTF file that is the English only version. It has one section in bold text, and the text is easier to read. I made that RTF file from the original plain txt file named README & CHANGELOG.txt that is also included for those that read other languages.

Enjoy!

Glen, I'm assuming you used the 'X' file as the instructions state?

darrin 08-06-2021 11:32 AM

THANK YOU GLEN!

I just did the upgrade and used the X file. Worked perfectly.

Only downside is having to re-set the thing up after the reset.

Read the instructions carefully. If the old firmware has the X, use the X version. If your original version is a non X version use that. Just don't put both on the same thumb drive. For my system I used the file LU5350-S62(P1420052).lcs

Thank you Glen !

I got my new radio updated to the latest firmware you posted.

It's already discontinued? It seems like it just came out a couple of years ago. Anyone know if they have a replacement model coming?

LIRS6 08-07-2021 11:04 AM

GH85Carrera - thanks vm for your download - can you please clarify; when it is expressed "Connect the USB key to the radio and turn it on. Confirm the message UPDATE? by pressing the right knob."

Which is the "right knob"?

TIA

Jason

It’s just the main knob. Not sure what is says “right” but that’s what was published by blaupunkt.

I pressed the big volume/power knob and it worked fine.

Let it do it’s thing, it will reboot and look like nothing happened. Reset the radio and check the version number. It should be different.

You the get to reconfigure 600 settings and light color like you did the first time.

The volume knob is the right (correct) knob.

Yea, the instructions were a obvoius translation into English and not the best. The "right" knob is indeed the big volume knob on the left.
