Power window dying...

The drivers side power window is really starting to fail... I think its the switch because it is "loose". I have to jiggle the switch several times and hold it to get the window to finally work.

It could be the power window motor though.... according to receipts, the PO had this replaced several years ago, maybe its failing again?

Id like to start by replacing the switch first and see if that works, if not then the motor...

Anyone know where I can buy these parts via internet or So Cal?

I looked on Pelican but didnt see it. Thanks! SmileWavy

the switch can be gently opened and cleaned up.. don't lose your balls, they're hard to find on the ground.............Ron

OK Thanks....I will try to clean it first Ron.

Also...thanks for your advice on my balls.

LOL...

the attachment of the front face to the body has to be gentle because they break easily. maybe an itty bitty screwdriver will help................Ron

Make sure and not the way the wires are connected. It's easy to get them mixed up. Don't ask how I know.

C-624-015-41?

Hello Sonic dB,

I think the following Pelican Parts would fit:

Switch: C-613-622-00
Window Motor: C-624-014-41

If you can get away with a simple switch cleaning, that's great.

Follow the bentley for wiring. Check the wiring first of course. You can't disassemble them without breaking them, and in the end, it's not worth it. There isn't much to fix inside of them really. You can clean them, but it will just delay the inevitable, and as I remember some little moving swivel broke in mine and it was clear it would just come loose, break, do whatever it was doing wrong again in the near future, so I just picked up two new ones from Porsche.
Just grab them and pull them out of the door. You'll see all the wires attached to the back, and the things just pull right out.
But you'll have to hunt around for the right wiring diagram. My wiring in the Bentley is closest to 1988 wiring.
