Fixing collapsible-spare valve stem possible?

I've got a leak at the base of my collapsible spare's valve stem. I'm sure it could easily be fixed by removing the tire and removing and reinstalling the valve stem with a new rubber gasket, but you can't remove that tire with conventional tire-removing gear, the factory manual says--"service by factory only."

Any advice? At this point, I'm trying to tighten the valve stem by rotating it clockwise and hoping that what I assume is a nut inside the wheel is taking up some of the slack, but I don't know how much of a fix that's going to be.

Stephan

Let the air out, by removing the valve. Should collapse and fold back up, you may have to help it a bit but it will go fine.

Tire sealant will NOT fix this problem. I had a flat, used the spare, but found it would not hold pressure. Tried a can of fix-a-flat, adn THEN discovered the stuff ozzing out under the rotten valve stem seal.

Local [Porsche-expert] tire guy fixed it like new. Removed the valve to fully compress the spare - no problem.
