1988 3.2 Porsche Squeals
Car squeals at start and rev and idles rough at about .9 rpm. Drives fine also gives a quick yowl when I turn the engine off. Thoughts

Sounds like it could be the starter is stuck in the ring gear, this would mean taking the starter off and checking the gear is not sticking on the shaft and not returning!

Check your belt and voltage at idle.
Does your alternator light come on before you start? |
