Some good tips there. I liked the one about the fluttering sensor plate potentially an indicator of a sticky or dirty roller bearing under the fuel distributor plunger.

Wish I had seen this video a couple of weeks ago when I had my cis out of the car ....one of the best videos I have seen on a cis rebuild and very informative...

with the fuel pump on if you push up on the sensor plate you should feel resistance immediately.
if there is play in the sensor plate the problem is a stuck plunger in the FD.
